What is Double Dutch?

Double Dutch is a game in which two long jump ropes turning in opposite directions (think of an eggbeater) are jumped by one or two players jumping simultaneously. It’s not nearly as easy as it may sound—the  on some of these kids are amazing, and decades after it began on the streets of New York City, it’s now an international competitive sport!

First Lady Michelle Obama love the sport of Double Dutch

Competitive Double Dutch consist of 3 routines:
Compulsory, Speed & Freestyle

Equipment Used:
12ft Jump rope: used for Singles Teams
14ft Jump rope: used for Doubles Teams
Counters: To count how many times the jumpers left foot touches the floor in the speed test.
